him, bobby walked by, later saw bobby on one flor with a lady of the night, bumped into phil by an elevator and he asked my friend if she was available and she laughed and said give me some of your beer phil, and he took off,hah...we wound up getting caught, by security which was real mellow, for crashing on the roof ,lol !!!! "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls ,the circus is in town.." thats what bobby said before stranger ,too bad its not on this recording...i had this tape in the 80's and it include it,whatever....it was a small place ,unique crowd of suprised gamblers and stoners...i remeber the clapping on morning dew and thinking it was fucking up the tempo when the crowd got in unison, it was like jerry had to play riffs that would make them stop ,,,Hah....i was high...me and my friend wound up hitchung from vegas to santa cruz right after the show.....thats insane LOL...we got there really fast, crazy times....the best

to FOTM. Front row in the balcony. Will never forget the two lines leading from casino--one for Dead the other for Wayne Newton. Freaks and Kansas City hardware salesmen sharing a rum and coke and pull on the slots.

fun when the band was playing this type of venue. Went to two shows in Vegas and then they went to the Silver Bowl, I believe. Long time ago. Oh well, don't smoke or do drugs now, long time passing. Still listen every day to th boys. Thank's All.

This is a great show. It's a very warm sounding audience recording of a nicely played show. Great atmosphere, nice clear sound, and extremely fine playing.

Enjoy :)

or close to the best at least of the early Vegas shows ever, and it was to bad they tore this building down, since it had good acoustics, but then again that could also be said elsewhere !
The hotel, for those of you who may not know, was all in the same building ie. the band hung out, albeit breifly, with the audience at least this first time ! I went to the one here in '83 also, but not in '84. My rating is based on performance since I know a good sounding recording exists, sadly however at this point I'm not yet able to upload it, but I certainly wil ASAP it's 1st. gen.
